Two whole years were needed to accomplish this portrait of the Nuragic civilization which, at the time the novel has been set, 1222 BC, was the most advanced one in the western Mediterranean.
Nuragic people did not leave any writings or, at least, they did not come to us. Nevertheless, they had erected towers up to twenty meters tall, with tholos domes and helicoidal staircases inside their cyclopean stone walls. Nuragic architecture had something sensational.
But what is the ancient link between Lydia and Sardinia? Let us just think about the name of the Lydian capital, Sardis!
Find out, in the first book of the Nuragic trilogy, the magic adventures of Fish, the lad with long braids, and the many “companions” on his journey, who might possibly be some Nuragic bronze figurines infused with life energy.
Let yourself get carried away by the turn of events that unfold in an endless hunt, the search of a treasure that all of us have close at hand, but that often we lose sight of… ourselves!

The Lydian Treasure eBook Giancarlo Cogoni

I read this graphic novel just after a trip across Sardinia during which I visited the "Nuraghes" and other megalithic structures of the island. The drawings are amazing as they depict the charming landscape - both natural and architectural - we would have seen during the late bronze age.
Fish, a brave young man, leaves his village to embark on an adventurous journey across the island, with the aim to discover a hidden Lydian treasure. As the journey unfolds, with all its dangers, encounters and challenges, we acknowledge the gradual inner change taking place in Fish. Apart from the outcome of Fish's journey, it is worth reading this story to take into consideration the cultural ties between Asia Minor and Nuragic Sardinia. We also get a glimpse of daily life in Nuragic Sardinia. Although various historical aspects are still open to interpretation, I recommend this story to anyone who is eager to explore - mentally and visually - an island whose history and connections have not yet been fully explored.
